Okay, so I need glasses like today but for some reason it's taking forever to get the lenses in and, the optician we've utilized is such a small mom and pop operation she hasn't got her own lab. Trust, that while I'm all about supporting small business and the need for independent owners in all sectors, had I gotten my exam at say EyeMasters I would have been able to see two weeks ago. Fucking insurance. Man such is my life just one long week. Speaking of things I have to wait for my trip is 28 days and counting and my birthday is 29 days from now. I hate waiting. I really fucking do.

Well I've officially had my first bath in two days. Why you ask... well because a water main broke in my part of town (Algiers) and everyone knows how effective city services are at the moment. I unfortunately missed Heathers birthday last night but I stank and was cranky. 6 days until Helio.

...and this regret I've become accustomed to. Man I can be such a dick. What does one do? I don't even get a bad ass leather jacket or nothin'. I should just be my own best friend...

So I am now a subscriber to Helio... we'll see how it works out details when I'm not so sleepy.

Nothing is set in stone but this defintely what I want... for those of you who don't know,this is a 1966 Vespa 'Sears Blue Badge' Sprint150 Which has a long and complicated history as an import from the notorious Sears & Roebuck catalouge- where you could at one point order anything from clothing to an entire prefab house! Well I hope to have my baby in time for the New Orleans Down & Dirty scooter rally which takes place over Halloween weekend. Wish me luck and if you're super nice you'd send me money!

Ok I have seen the most awesomest thing ever... infact i drooled a little. A Daily Show montagaganza! A complete Bush speech on the flaw in Iraq compsoed of maybe 12-20 different and seperate speeches, it was amazing a must see. Sorry for not updating been busy as fuck with school. Liz is coming to pick up her new-to-her Mongoose Montain bike. Excitement all around!

Hah! I got my new card today. Unfortunately, I still owe the bank some money but other than that I'm kosher. I have a production meeting and eighties night going on today. Busy Busy Busy. Okay, I got to go pay my debtors and have some lunch.

I'm a fuckin' big timer! After a long and ardorous battle with the Louisiana Labor Department- which if you're unfamiliar with the process includes, painful telephone conversations with Chase Bank representatives who hardly speak Engrish- I do believe Uncle Sam is ready to hit me up with that nice chunk of change that is rightly due to me. So, come Thursday if you see me walking down the street clear a path if you want to avoid getting hit by the Hedonist bus. I don't like being broke, it changes my entire mood. And what a perfect day for all fortunes of good fortunes to land. Fucking Eighties night is going to be an event to remember.

As the year approaches it's inevitable end, most take the time to reflect. Unfortunatley, I am no different. I write this journal today a broken shadow of a person. Some lives do not stand up well to scrutiny mine being one of them. I go into the new with absolutely nothing to live for. But no worries I will press on like the rest of the schmuks. That's all I believe I can be at this point is pure schmuk. I'm surronded but by beautiful talented people and that will have to enough for me. There is no sin in vicarious living right?

Okay. Thanks to Lance and Denay for being beautiful people. I just want to wink in their direction for being good friends and showing me a great time when I was many, many miles away from anyone that I knew. With that said you will be happy to know dear ones that I am about twenty miles outside of Atlanta and once I recommence my journey I should arrive at my residence in New Orleans, around 5 pm. That's central standard time. It's been surreal and that's all I can say. I hope to see you all very soon because I want to hug and kiss every single one of you and I hope to spend some one on one time with everyone when I get back. Expect a call from me. And I love you and THANK YOU for being BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This is my last LJ post from Washington D.C. My heart will cartwheel in ectascy to see all of my friends who I miss so much. I should arrive in New Orleans no later than the evening of December 4th. I've had some interesting adventures thanks to that bitch Katrina. And my life along with yours has been devastated. I leave behind in D.C. one person in possession of a beautiful soul and I gallop toward the Big Easy into the arms of 10 + loving and accepting souls. That is what my forey has taught me, it has given me the respect that I lacked for my open arms culture that won't bat an eyelash until you hurt yourself. And then it refuses to judge you for it. Remember that. It's an important lesson that we all should learn and then aknowledge.
